The benefits of SaaS

The web has transformed the software industry in many ways and FundWorks is proud to be at the forefront of this transformation. All our software is delivered through a normal web browser and requires no installation on end-users’ computers. The cost advantages to this approach are substantial – especially in large corporations where IT policies, user support and maintenance can be expensive and resource-intensive.

These alternative deployment models – known variously as ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS), ‘Application Service Provision’ (ASP) or ‘hosted software’ –  are growing in popularity. Analysts predict that the next few years will see a third of all new software delivered under a SaaS model. Using the FundWorks SaaS model, clients can reap an array of advantages:

High performance infrastructure

All FundWorks solutions are available as SaaS services, delivered on co-located or dedicated servers in Tier 4 data centres. The sites are fully air conditioned and fire protected, with UPS and diesel generators in the event of power failure. Security includes ID controlled security gates and CCTV.  We have the maximum available bandwidth, with multiple routers, firewalls, LAN switches and Load Balancers installed in a high availability configuration. Data is backed up nightly to disk, archived to tape and stored securely at an offsite location.

Fully outsourced services

Catering for the whole range of scalability requests, FundWorks solutions are also available as Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services – a model which removes the need for any IT involvement. Driven through a dedicated customer support team and governed by bespoke Service Level Agreements (SLAs), asset managers need only provide content and receive web pages, factsheets, reports and statements on a regular basis. With built-in content management and quality assurance interfaces, an outsourced solution can be an ideal and scalable way to keep costs and resource usage under control whilst delivering your regulatory, marketing and client requirements in full.
